Firsts Baby Shower GamesFrom creating a story to crafting a quilt, these games inspire creativity and fun, even if you don't come in "first". From creating a story to crafting a quilt, these games inspire creativity and fun, even if you don't come in "first". Baby StoryThis is a great game for a "Firsts" theme shower, plus it's very creative and funny. Divide shower guests into groups, and hand each group a sheet of paper with a title to one part of the baby's future life, like "Birth", "First Day of School", "First Date". Give the groups 10 minutes to compose a story about these first events in the unborn baby's life. Then collect them, and have the mother-to-be read them aloud. Baby's First PiggyWhen guests arrive at the shower, tell them you are having a raffle for a door prize, $1 per ticket. The hostess should find the door prize - it could be anything from a gift certificate to a complimentary house cleaning. After everyone has arrived, have the mother pick a name out of the hat to see who wins the prize. All the money gets put into the baby's first piggy bank! Baby's First QuiltThis makes a fun keepsake for mom and the baby as long as someone knows how to sew. Cut out squares of fabric that would be easy to decorate (cotton or muslin in solid colors), one for each guest. Have decorative items on hand, like ribbons, puffy paint, buttons, etc. Give each guest their piece of the quilt, have them decorate it for the baby, then have them sign their name to their piece. After the shower, have someone sew together the top of a very memorable baby quilt! |
