Play hilarious games at your baby shower- from creative to downright wacky- and then make sure that the Mommy-to-be gets all the Bootie (good stuff)! ClotheslineThis game is a great way to get people laughing, as well as let the girls know what it takes to be a mother! String a clothesline across the room, and have piles of clothespins and clothes ready to be "hung out to dry". Taking turns one at a time, hand each contestant a baby and a telephone receiver (not connected to the real phone). Each guest must see how many clothes they can hang up in two minutes while "talking" on the phone and holding the baby. If they drop either, their turn is over. The guest who hangs the most clothes without dropping her accessories wins the game. Mommy TriviaBefore the shower, ask the Mother-to-be questions about herself: how old was she on her first date, what year did she graduate college, etc. Collect about 20 questions and be sure to record your answers. Once the shower begins, gather the guests together and ask the questions. The guest with the most correct answers is not only the one who knows mommy best, but also is the winner! Bootie TossYou will need one baby bootie for this game. Have all guests stand in circle. As the bootie get tossed from guest to guest (in no particular order), each guest that catches the bootie has to name an item that a baby needs. Answers cannot be repeated. Guests only have 5 seconds to think of something; if they cannot name any itiem, they are out. This game at first is very easy, but as normal baby items get used up, people start to get more creative. The last guest standing with the bootie in hand wins the game. |
