Candyland Baby Shower DecorationsIf the magical world of Candyland is your shower theme, why not dress up tables and favors with these sugary suggestions? If the magical world of Candyland is your shower theme, why not dress up tables and favors with these sugary suggestions? The Candy TreeWe have Christmas trees, and now we have Easter Trees, so why not make a tree that's dripping with candies? Buy a small potted real tree, or place leafless tree branches in a steel bucket of Plaster of Paris and allow to set. Once it dries, attatch Christmas tree hooks to Swedish fish, gummy items, or molded chocolates in the shapes of baby booties, bottles, and carriages. Hang on the tree like you would Christmas ornaments. Make a topper by stacking soft candy (such as Ju-Ju Bees) through the centers onto a length of floral wire, then bend into a star, moon, or whatever shape you choose. Napkin TiesCandy everywhere! Even crisp linen napkins have a sweet-tooth flair when you tie Twizzlers or other licorice sticks around napkins instead of napkin rings. Candied Apple Placecard HoldersCandied apple kits are easily found at your local orchard or grocery store. Make your own candied apples, then place in pink or blue muffin papers. For placecards, cut narrow strips of heavy paper and write guests' names. Punch a whole in the end of each paper strip, pull twine or ribbon through the whole and tie around the apple stick. Then place at each setting for an edible placecard holder! Sources |
